We are running free or low cost sessions out in the Hawkesbury from Feb to June 2022.

At Council Hubs

Bilpin- Tuesday

1st and 15th Feb-Basketry

Learn how to use your old fabric scraps (or jeans!) to make a beautiful little basket. All materials will be supplied. A fun and creative activity. Let's save the planet one basket at a time! This session will be run over 2 weeks by Sally Blackwell from Waste Not Fibre Designs.  No experience is necessary, just the willingness to learn and have fun with friends, new or old..

1st, 15th and 29th March- Jewelry

In these free sessions you will be taught essential, basic jewellery techniques allowing you to create jewellery that expresses your own personal style.

Have fun exploring ways to use everyday materials such as lace, plastic, fabric and old jewellery to create professionally finished pieces. 

All materials supplied but if you have one lone earring from a favourite pair, a beautiful piece of chain or a broken pendant that you just can't bear to throw away, bring it along and learn to remake it into something special.

you will learn essential jewellery techniques with Gail Reynolds,local jewelry and textile artist

Wilberforce-Wednesday

2nd and 16th Feb- Basketry

Get out your old jeans!  Learn how to use your old denim to make a beautiful little basket. All materials will be supplied. A fun and creative activity. Lets save the planet one basket at a time! This session will be run over 2 weeks by Sally Blackwell from Waste Not Fibre Designs.

2nd,16th and 29th March-Printing Images and cards

Make a variety of cards and images using everyday textures and objects to print using Gel Plate printing methods.  All materials will be supplied. Explore this easy craft with Liz Germani from Objectology

Colo-Thursday

Use the very basic of materials to make beautiful windspinner for the garden. All materials will be supplied.Reuse plastics to explore yarn making techniques and basic construction techniques. Learn this with Jennidee Mills a textile artist from the Blue Mts.

St Albans -Friday
