We are a Not for Profit Makerspace that supports makers, artisans and craftspeople from the Hawkesbury.
We have a gift shop, gallery and workshop area.
Community can donate items like secondhand craft and general recycle items.
Our makers work in all materials and forms:new and upcycled.
Any maker in the Hawkesbury can sell their work, run workshops and gain a new income stream. One of points of difference is inspiring people to think sustainably and use unwanted resources to create upcycled works.
We provide reusable resources and sustainability education around recyclables and keeping goods from ending up in landfill. To repurpose these unwanted goods and create artworks that will be appreciated and allow our makers to explore many different media makes us the champion of the 'everyday' maker.
We also have a community information centre in the foyer that communicates local available services and attractions. Our retail spaces are a space to sell, inspire and evoke wonderful conversations on imagination and sustainability.
We started in 2018 building our profile at markets and business fairs. In Oct 2019 we opened in Loder House, Windsor with a Makers Market in the mall celebrating creatives in the Hawkesbury. We have built our team of volunteers to support the programs we run. We have built the numbers of Makers selling through us from 25 on opening day to now over 160.
We run community based social groups and activity sessions at the Remakery and throughout the Hawkesbury.
Right: This activity session targeted the over 70's and was funded by Wentworth Healthcare to improve wellbeing , connection and resilience.
There are so many ways to get involved in our arts community. Drop us a line to find out about events, volunteer opportunities, membership and how to donate your unwanted goods!
