At Hawkesbury Remakery, our mission is to promote and support local artists in all forms of arts. We believe in the power of art to inspire, heal, and bring communities together.
Since the series of disasters local people in our area have focussed on loss, damage and the costs of recovery. We would like to bring back a focus on the unique beauty and capacity to heal that our environment can offer.
This activity is supported by Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network (NBMPHN), as part of Australian Govt's response to the 2022 floods. Wentworth Healthcare is the provider of NBMPHN
We aim to run a series of 5 workshops in the wider Hawkesbury area, with a focus on the river.
These workshop experiences are designed to remind locals of the beauty and uniqueness of our area. Opportunity to observe, explore and reflect the experience in an art form.
Each workshop will be run on a Sat or Sun) will some follow up activity. All works resulting from the workshops, will be exhibited at the Hawkesbury Remakery . The workshops are free to attend but you must be registered.
