About repair cafe
Our History
We have been a member of the global Repair Cafe movement since 2019. We have been running Repair cafe events for 4 years and in between times we have been taking small requests for repairs from community.
Sponsors
Through the community sponsorship program run by Hawkesbury City Council we have been able to restart the Repair Cafe Program. We appreciate this support for a program that continues our ethos to reduce landfill in the Hawkesbury
Our Events
We have a variety of Volunteers who offer their skills.
- Each one offers their time when available.
- We do not guarantee the work and hope this free service is taken up in goodwill.
- We always appreciate a donation towards the repair cafe when an item is fixed.
- If you are happy to leave the item we can pass it onto the repairer if they are not in attendance that day.
Repairs are deemed 'community' or 'expert'.
'Community' repairs are done quickly and are free.
If a repair is more complicated and requires parts, the Repairer will quote the 'expert' repair and you are able to decide whether you want it fixed.
