Create a wonderful hand felted wool and silk scarf
using the nuno felt technique.
Beginner friendly.
Felting is an age old craft that uses beautiful wool fibre to make wonderful light and warm garments and accessories.
Come along and learn new techniques to combine silk fabric and merino wool fibre, advance your skills and take home a finished piece.
This workshop is run by Roz Panetta, a well known textile artist.
What is provided: All materials supplied with a choice of hand dyed wool and silk to complete a silk and wool nuno scarf.

Participants will learn all about alcohol inks - particularly focusing on how to use them to decorate gorgeous home wares.
Create a personal design or gift for someone special
Participants will receive tuition, access to full range of alcohol inks, hints, tips and tricks to decorate, methods and ways to blend, and how to use the 'resist' technique.
Participants will create 2 pieces - a pot and a mug in a colour theme of their choice. $85 per person

Kokodama - also known as a Japanese moss ball is a style of potting up plants into a ball of moss and displaying them in a dish or suspended in the air. It is a form of Japanese bonsai and can make a lovely decor addition to a small space.
In this workshop participants will learn the art of kokodama making, ways in which to care for their plants, hints and tips for display as well as take home 2 gorgeous kokedamas balls.
All materials and supplies will be included. Light refreshments provided

Beginner friendly With Roz Panetta
In this workshop we will explore several different methods to transfer prints onto paper & fabric.
Learn about the different products and how they work to achieve many different effects.
Transfer printing will add a new dimension to your art and journalling and allow you to develop new ideas very quickly and effectively adding dimension and interest immediately.
You will work on sample pieces with the option to use the mediums, substrates, textiles and papers supplied and achieve a unique piece of work to take home.
All materials and mediums will be supplied on the day as well as comprehensive notes and resource material. Your choice to work with paper or fabrics or both. (You are welcome to bring along favourite materials and tools) I will supply a suggested materials list, however there will be a lot for you to select on the day.
Come expectant of a fun workshop with exploration and fibre play for any level of creative to enjoy.

Learn the Japanese art of shibori dyeing. Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that typically involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth and binding it, then dyeing it in indigo.
Participants will receive tuition on the various techniques and will produce 4 different fabric examples , which can then be used as singular art works or used in other fabric art / sewing projects such as scrunchies , bags, quilts , table runners etc .
The final piece will be a scarf

Participants will learn all about the art of slow stitching using the sashiko stitch.
They will use this technique of stitching, which is a Japanese art form that grew from the need to repurpose discarded scraps of fabric.
It is a repetitive form of stitching that is continuous and creates amazing focal points and features. The collective term for this stitching is called ‘Boro’.
Participants will use traditional vintage Japanese kimonos fabrics to adore a linen cushion cover, learn the different styles of sashiko, types of threads to use and be amazed at the stunning results produced.
