Beginner friendly With Roz Panetta
Wool is an ancient material used for centuries to clothe and keep humans warm, readily available and inexpensive it is a wonderful, natural product that allows for many different techniques and results, always satisfying and fun.
In this workshop, using beautiful merino wool, we will be exploring the techniques used to felt 3 dimensional objects such as a vessels and bags/tote.
I will guide you to explore your own ideas using the resist material and designing your own piece with additional embellishments provided to create a unique one off piece to be proud of.
Using a resist you will learn how to manipulate the fibre to form shapes that can then be turned into functional items.
All supplies provided on the day, so come along and enjoy some creative time with one of The Remakery’s resident textile artist.

Learn the fun art of hat burning also known as 'pyrography' .
Students will be able to design their own hat and apply the design to the outside, inside or the surface of the hat rim.
Learn about the different effects and tools to create line, shading and detail. A fun and creative skill that can also be applied to other surfaces
All materials provided including the hat

In co-operation with Remakery, Hawkesbury Woodcraft plans to hold a 4 day woodworking workshop at our club house in Wilberforce. The event is open to people above the age of 14 and no previous woodworking experience is required. Limited positions are available.
Cost. $80.00 total for the 4 days.
What $20.00 a day will get you:
1. Free membership to the club for the remaining financial year, with automatic membership (at standard cost) after that.
2. Morning tea each day,
3. BBQ style lunch each day, 4. Basic training, allowing you to participate, under supervision, the following: Scroll Sawing, Band Sawing, Pyrography, Box Making and Wood Carving.
5. Introduction to (but not operating) other woodworking equipment such as Table saws, Planers, Thicknessers, Routers and Lathes.
6. Basic woodworking provided in association with the above training.
7. Access to the shed and club facilities once financial. 8. Safety instructions and procedures throughout the series.
All materials, tools and PPE will be provided. Some items you make will be available to take home & show the kids.
